Description
Holographic projection gauze is a specialized, nearly invisible, mesh, gauze, or foil screens suspended on stage to create 3D, life-sized virtual images using high-lumen projectors. This technique often employs Pepper’s Ghost, a 19th-century optical illusion, allowing performers to interact with projected visuals, or even remote speakers, as if they are physically present, enhancing immersion through controlled, dark stage environments.
Woven, mesh-like fabric is stretched across the stage to create a translucent projection surface. The gauze allows the stage behind it to remain visible while displaying a vibrant image creating a “ghostly” effect that is perfect for theatrical performances, concerts, and product launches.
When used on stage, by combining, live actors with holographic imagery behind the gauze, a blended environment is achieved.
